Junior Civitan International
 
Purpose: To train young people to become "Builders of Good Citizenship" in the home, school, community and nation. We encourage students to develop initiative, leadership and unselfish service to others by focusing upon daily living of the Golden Rule in all relationships.
 
Service Projects
 
October: Sell $25.00 worth of Eblen Pumpkins - encourage fellow students to participate in purchasing pumpkins during the first period competition.
 
November: Bring items and pack Christmas Shoe Boxes for Samaritans Purse.  The boxes go to needy children around the wrld.
 
December: Christmas caroling for shut-ins.
 
January:  Prepare a meal for local shelter.
 
February:  Make heart grams to raise money for American Heart Association and go to Hearts with Hands foundation.
 
March:  Blue and White Game
April: Volunteer as buddies at the Buncombe County Special Olympics.

**You must participate in at least three Junior Civitan Service projects in order to eligible to attend the Special Olympics as a Buddy.
