Suarez, Todd
Physical Education Teacher

The 2015-2016 school year brought about a major change in my teaching career. While this is my 10th year at Enka High School, this year will be my first as a Health/Physical Education teacher. After 15 years of teaching high school English I decided it was time for a change.

Prior to Enka, I spent six years teaching English at Cherokee High School; two years substitute teaching; five years as the sports editor at The Mountaineer (in Waynesville); and
one year as the assistant sports editor at The Hickory (NC) Daily Record.

Along with my teaching responsibilities at Enka, I am also the head women's tennis coach and a varsity boy's assistant basketball coach.

My family consists of my wife Sandy (a retired school teacher), my son Tanner (a sophomore at Enka), my seven-year-old dog Spooky, and a one-year-old cat named Peaches. In what little free time I have, I can be found watching Notre Dame football on Fall Saturday's, New York Mets baseball, reading, and camping.
