Today would have been full of excitement for Opening Night of Mamma Mia and so for our virtual playbill we highlight the two wonderful performers playing Donna and Sam. #awesomeseniors #enkahighschool #bcsarts #virtualplaybill #springmusical πŸŽ‰πŸŽ“πŸ’™ πŸ’
BRENNAN LATHAM (Sam Carmichael) has been involved in the arts since a very early age singing before he could fully speak sentences. He has been in chorus since elementary school and began his journey in the world of theater his sophomore year. He has been in Back to The 80’s as Kirk Keaton & Mr. Cocker, Big Fish as Will Bloom, and Mamma Mia! as Sam Carmichael, and almost every extra curricular choir you can audition for. He would like to give thanks to anyone who has ever taken time out of their day to watch him perform, they have contributed more to his development than they could ever know.

...and ASHA ZOE VENGALA (Donna Sheriden) has been involved in the arts since elementary school. She attended a school of the arts and performed in her first musical, Frog and Toad, as bird #2, in 3rd grade. In 4th grade she was an ensemble member in Schoolhouse Rock, and In 5th grade she was Bagerra in The Jungle Book. Asha has been deeply invested in the theater program here at Enka since her freshman year, during which she was Tammy in Hairspray. Her sophomore year she was the vice president for the drama club and is currently the president. She has been involved in the spring musical since her freshman year. In Hairspray, she played the role of Tammy; she was Cyndi in Back to the 80’s; and was an Alabama Lamb in Big Fish. She has also participated in the fall semester one acts, Performing in Super Heroes as women, Della Dillingham Young in The Gift of the Magi, and, her favorite, Mrs. Gibbs in Our Town. On top of being involved in theater, Asha has been on the yearbook staff all four years of highschool, and was the editor-in-chief her junior and senior years. She has also been the class treasure since freshman year. Asha is currently 3rd in her class and is planning on attending North Carolina State University in the fall, majoring in zoology. She would like to thank her parents for always supporting her passion for theater, and Mrs. Stanley-Marino for continuously pushing her out of her comfort zone and helping her grow as an actress.
