Hominy Valley Youth Wrestling League

  Enka Scramble 2019

Hominy Valley Youth Wrestling kicks off each fall at Enka High School for youth wrestlers in grades 1 to 6.  The season begins in mid-October and concludes in early February.  Tentative start date for fall 2020 is Sunday, October 18.

The youth season includes weekly practices, beginner's scrimmages with other leagues, and more competitive events like the Elementary State Championships for more experienced athletes.

HVWC’s goal is to provide its participants with high-quality, safe, and fun wrestling instruction.  Instructors aim to provide a positive learning environment where children can develop fitness, self confidence, and basic skills in the sport of wrestling.

Mark Harris , EHS Head Wrestling Coach, founded the Hominy Valley Wrestling Club in 2003.  In the  lead role in practices and tournaments will be Ryan McCormack, a former Citadel wrestler who has coached in the Hominy Valley Youth League since 2013.  The Enka High School coaching staff and wrestlers also assist with weekly youth practices.
