6)   Have a positive attitude every day.

 

CONSEQUENCES

  1. Verbal Warning
  2. Strikes (3 strikes)
  3. Detention
  4. Referral to office

 

 

GRADING

            Grading will be based on the points system.  An assignment may worth a maximum of 5 total points.  A larger assignment such as a quiz or project 50-75 points max.  A test will always be out of 100 possible points.  To calculate score add up all possible points and divide by the points received.

90-100             A

80-89               B

70-80               C

60-70               D

59 or below     F

 

TOBACCO POLICY

            This is a tobacco free school.  All uses of tobacco are prohibited in the classroom. THIS INCLUDES VAPES OF ANY KIND.

 

ATTENDANCE POLICY

            5 Absences per semester, once you go over your absences please see me as soon as possible in order to make up your days quickly.  It will be very difficult to pass this class with

excessive absences.

 

 

 

 

 

CELL PHONE POLICY

            Students WILL daily park their cell phones in the cell phone area.  This is non-negotiable.  If you do not have a device, you will put the blue card in your assigned number.  If you are then found to have your cell phone on your person you will be asked to put it in the holder and receive a morning detention at 7:30 AM.  Refusal to turn in cell phone at this point will result in an office referral.  

 

 

TARDY POLICY

 

1st PERIOD TO BE HANDLED BY ATTENDANCE OFFICE

 

            1st and 2nd Tardy- Waived

            3rd-6th Tardy-detention

            7th and beyond- Referral to office

 

HOW TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • Show up!
  • Turn in your work with your name on it.
  • Turn in your work on time (no late work)
  • Actually do your homework (yes you will have some)
  • Study for tests and quizzes
  • Don’t make Zeros
  • Save your Hall Passes
  • Be engaged with a positive attitude

 

LATE WORK POLICY

            Late work will only be accepted during smart period and will incur a 50% point penalty.

 

OFFICE HOURS- During virtual school I will be available for office hours from 2:00-3:30 daily. 

 

Virtual expectations- Students should be on time to zoom calls and participate daily in class activities.  Students are expected to turn in all assignments on time.  Late work will incur a 50% penalty. 

 

During Zoom conferences students should act appropriately and use appropriate language during zoom conferences.  Also be sure to silence background noise during zoom conferences and have appropriate backgrounds.
