Gosnell, Sherrie
Math Teacher

Welcome to Enka High School and the amazing and wonderful world of mathematics.
As a former student/athlete and graduate of Enka High School (CLASS OF 1990), I am proud to be a member of the faculty at Enka and I AM PROUD TO BE A JET!
After graduating from Enka, I attended Appalachian State University (Go ASU!) and received a BS degree in Mathematics Education.
I taught for 1 1/2 years at Scotland High School in Scotland Co., just outside of Fayetteville, NC.  Then returned to Enka High School, where I have been ever since.
I have been teaching now for 20 years; and in 2008 I received my National Board certification in mathematics.  In previous years I have taught Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Integrated Math 1, and Technical Math.  I am currently teaching Math 2 and Essentials for College Math.
I love being involved with student activities outside of the classroom as well as inside.  During my first 10 years at Enka, I coached the varsity cheerleading team.  Now I am one of the junior class sponsors, and assist with class fundraisers and prom.
In my freetime I enjoy attending my daughters sporting events, doing anything outdoors in our beautiful North Carolina mountains, and READING. Check out the books I've read and are currently reading on my shelf below.
