Marketing Teacher

Welcome to the wonderful world of Marketing.  I am THE Marketing teacher at Enka High School.  What a student learns in my classroom will help with their everyday life.  That is one of the greatest benefits of taking a Marketing class.  What do I teach?
  • Marketing
  • Sports and Entertainment 1&2
  • Hospitality and Tourism
  • Personal Finance

Now let me tell you a little about myself. I am a 1986 graduate of Enka High School.  I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Monetary and Financial Economics from UNC-Asheville.  I am a lateral entry teacher who was a former Pharmaceutical Sales Rep.  I received my teaching certification through NC State.  I love teaching teens and young adults about the world of marketing and sales.

I have been married for 26 years to my wonderful husband, Kenny, and have two wonderful children.  Ashley is a graduate of Mars Hill College where she majored in Physical Education and played softball for the Lions.  She is now a stay at home mom of my 2 year old grandson, Karson.  She runs an at home daycare and loves it. Taylor is a Magn Cum Laude graduate of East Carolina University where he majored in History and the Classics.  He is attending Campbell Law School in Raleigh.
I also am the sponsor of DECA.  This is a great club for students.  We do fun stuff together, and we also do community service projects.  Our favorite thing we do is the cookie decorating each holiday season.  This is so much fun and the students love watching the kids create their cookie masterpieces.
I have an open door policy so come by anytime.  The best way to reach me at the school is by email (email address above).  If you would like to call, I have 4th period planning so you can reach me between 1:35-3:00 at 670-5000.   I enjoy meeting new people and hope to see you soon.  Please come by and visit.
I have always and will always be proud to be a Sugar Jet!!!
