Shanholtz, Cole

Latin Teacher

Mrs. Cole Shanholtz

Salvete Omnes! (Greetings All) My name is Cole Shanholtz, and I am the Latin teacher at Enka High School. I taught in the Greater Atlanta, Georgia area for eight years before moving to Black Mountain, NC in 2015 with my husband, who accepted an engineering position at Moog Music in downtown Asheville.

I grew up on St. Simons Island, Georgia and began taking Latin in 6th grade. I continued my study of Latin throughout high school, and declared my major in Classical Studies while studying abroad in Orvieto, Italy. After graduating from Sweet Briar College, a small women's college in Virginia, I moved back to Georgia to pursue a career in teaching.
