A little about me...
In 2006, I married Jay Marino, a landscape architect, moved to Buncombe Co., and began teaching on the beautiful Enka campus. Prior to Enka, I taught in the Winston Salem/Forsyth Co. schools as an English and Theatre Arts teacher at Reagan High School. I have also worked at the Center for Women Writers at Salem College and for various theatre groups and music schools.
In college, I studied theatre with a concentration on acting at UNC-Greensboro.
I later returned to school and received a degree and teaching license in English Literature with a focus on creative writing. I am certified in middle and high school English and Theatre Arts K-12. I was also a  proud part of Enka's IMPACT V team, and earned my Masters in Education in December 2013!
My husband and I have a wonderful houseful--6 children, 2 daughters-in-law, 3 grandchildren, 2 cats, 8 chickens, an old Pomeranian, and a nutty German Shepherd.
Performing is a passion of mine and I have been blessed to be a part of many theatre groups and part-time radio and tv spots. I encourage students to get out in the community with performing opportunities!
