Health/Physical
Education Teacher
The
2018-2019 school year is my 19th year as a high school teacher, and my 13th year at Enka High School.
I am currently in my 4th year as a Health/PE teacher. Prior
to becoming a Health/PE teacher, I spent 15 years teaching English at both Cherokee High School and Enka.
I have a B.S. degree in Speech Communications from Millersville (PA) University and my teaching certification from Western Carolina University.
In my first "career" I was a sports writer for 14 years in Pennsylvania and North Carolina.
Along
with my teaching responsibilities at Enka, I am also the head women's and men's tennis coach and the head boy's basketball coach at Enka Middle School.
My
family consists of my wife Sandy (a retired school teacher) and my son
Tanner (a college freshman at Western Carolina University).
In what little
free time I have, I can be found watching Notre Dame football and basketball, New York Mets baseball and reading.
