BCSVA Students recently closed their laptops and hiked into nature for an engaging Freshwater Ecology Field Trip at the North Carolina Arboretum. The experience provided a hands-on opportunity for students to deepen their understanding of aquatic ecosystems while exploring the natural beauty of Western North Carolina.
This field trip aligned closely with classroom learning objectives, particularly in environmental science and biology. By applying their knowledge in a real-world setting, students were able to make meaningful connections that extend beyond the content delivered in their classes.
Overall, the Freshwater Ecology Field Trip was a valuable and memorable experience. It not only reinforced academic content but also inspired curiosity, critical thinking, and a deeper respect for the natural world. Thanks to our wonderful science teacher, Ms. Abby for organizing the trip!
